Northlands Farm & Ranch Show – Bigger than Ever
Event organizers of the Northlands Farm & Ranch Show are pleased to announce that the 2010 show was a success. The show took place April 8 – 10, in the Edmonton EXPO Centre, attracting attendees primarily from Alberta, western Saskatchewan and eastern British Columbia.
"We're very pleased with the show's overall success this year," said Dave Fiddler, Show Manager. "The Farm & Ranch Show's important relationship with the agriculture industry continues to grow. It provides an excellent platform for business connectivity and educational opportunities."
With over 400 exhibitors and 522,000 square feet of space, the 44th annual Northlands Farm & Show was bigger than ever. With so much under one roof, show attendees had the opportunity shop and compare prices as well as take in dynamic information sessions and demonstrations presented by industry experts.
According to Fiddler, "Millions of dollars in business transactions take place during the show or from the show. It is why the show has become a must-attend event for companies involved in the Alberta agricultural market."
Another part of the show's success is because it is among the first to reflect changes within the agriculture industry. New programs introduced this year proved to be popular with exhibitors and attendees such as the Live Cattle Handling Demonstrations, the Seeding Technology Clinic and Farm Business Management Seminars.
With the 2010 show just completed, plans are already underway for next year’s event. “With the new facility, exciting new opportunities exist for the Farm and Ranch Show, not only in terms of additional indoor exhibitor space but also for showcasing new programs and services,” said Fiddler.
